Steve Jobs at the D8 Conference

The trademark black polo-neck and jeans appeared last night as Steve Jobs took the stage at the Wall Street Journal’s D8 conference last night. Fielding questions from hosts Kara Swisher and Walt Mossberg, as well as the attending audience, he spoke openly about the loss of the prototype iPhone 4G, the ‘war’ with Adobe over Flash and the origins of the iPhone and iPad [spoiler: the iPad came first!].
The session was a welcome departure from the usual heavily stage-managed Keynote presentations, and showed that Steve can hold his own on tough subjects and has real convictions about Apple’s strategies.
